Pathology Core

The Pathology Core provides histology-based research services and assists the performance and interpretation of immunohistochemical (IHC) and in situ hybridization (ISH) procedures since 2006. We collaborate with investigators at Chang Gung University and Chang Gung Memorial Hospital for the study of biomarkers in cancers and other research, in order to improve the diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment of cancers. In addition, we interpret and analyze the results followed by image saving with a ScanScope scanner system to establish databases for future studies. To date, more than 20,000 slides of IHC and ISH have been performed, hundreds of potential biomarkers for various cancers have been validated, and over 60 articles have been published in SCI journals.
